The focus will be on Ireland today but the big race in
England is by no means a small one – the Temple Stakes attracts top sprinters
on a yearly basis with multiple group winners contesting today’s race,
including the winners of the last two renewals of the race, Hot Streak and
Kingsgate Native.

Anything which finished in the top 4 should be noted, while
horses which finished 8th, 9th, 12th and 15th
have also done well in the last 10 years. The majority of the field were in the
top 4 last time out – Danzeno was 2nd, Goldream 1st,
Great Minds 1st, Hot Streak 3rd, Jack Dexter 3rd,
Kingsgate Native 3rd. Pearl Secret was 8th and G Force
was 15th.
10-Year Trends
3) 9 of the last 10 winners had won over 5f
Danzeno is the only
runner today who doesn’t have a distance win to his name
4) 7 of the last 10 winners had won a listed or group sprint
All of this year’s
runners fit this trend
5) 8 of the last 10 winners (and a further 12 of the 20
placers) came from the top 4 in the market
The top 4 in the
market this year are Hot Streak, Danzeno, G Force and Goldream
