Horses to Look Out For On The Support Card:
2:40 Palace House Stakes (Group 3) (5f)
Moviesta caught my attention here. Winner of The King George Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last year as a 3 year old was vary impressive in my eyes and his Nunthorpe run on slower ground can be excused as he had a tough season running in top handicaps. He is nearly certain to improve as a 4 year old and he may give Sole Power and Pearl Secret something to think about at the odds of 7/1. I am sure there could well be a group 1 in this gelding this season. It is his first run of the season, Pearl Secret and Sole Power have already had a run but this should not matter as much over 5f. Watch his run very closely nonetheless.
Qatar Bloodstock Jockey Club Stakes (Group 2) (1m4f)
All eyes will be on Irish Derby winner Trading Leather now that he is in the silks of Godolphin. He has his quick ground and as a result he has been installed as 5/4 favourite. The only thing I can see beating him is his own fitness. But that would be enough for me not to back him at 5/4. It will be in intriguing to see how the Teofilo Colt gets on.
Harbour Watch at Tweenhills Handicap (6f)
I was a very big fan of Stars Above Me and backed her each way on her debut at Goodwood last season when she was second, I have tracked her ever since and she was an impressive winner of a Conditions race at Leicester when beating the smart Invincible Strike (Rated 99) but was getting a significant amount of weight off. She has received an opening mark of 88 that is fairly high but seems fair. I think she is a classy individual. The fast ground is key to her as she has been withdrawn a few times this season and last due to the going. Prices for this race are not available yet but she is certainly worth a market check.
Stay tuned to The Parade Ring over the weekend to see more from Andy, who will also be previewing the 1,000 Guineas and its support card at Newmarket on Sunday.
